Most studios sell gold body jewelry during the holidays and again at valentine's day. But recently at New Flower Studio in Long Beach we've been using gold non-stop on our clients. This nostril piercing done in January by Chris Glunt is now sporting a 14k yellow gold ring from Body Vision.

Putting a telescope outside is a great way to get people in front of the studio. We had a blast today. The weather was perfect and Venus didn't let us down. the awesome picture of the sun and Venus was taken by Renan Cavalcante, one of the great tattoo artists at Outer Limits in Long Beach.
Chris Kane is piercing again today. You might know Chris from piercing in downtown Fullerton at Above All Tattoo, and the many guest appearances he made at Outer Limits in Long Beach and Orange.

The ladies, Jill and Melody, from BVLA (Body Vision Los Anegels) arrived with our first delivery of gold jewelry! They brought us some gems for your nostril and navel piercings and some rings for your ear piercings! One of the biggest benefits of moving my body piercing business to a separate location from Outer Limits Tattoo is has been two fold. We we're getting close to open. Things are getting busy around the studio. We ordered our floors today. They'll be delivered and installed next week. The studio is getting it's second coat of paint now. Jewelry is being delivered. And if things couldn't get any better, we've just arranged for piercer Jill Martin, formerly of Somatic Piercing here in Long Beach, to pierce for us on Saturdays. There's a lot of new laws that went into effect on January 1st, 2012. A lot of studio's are going to struggle to be compliant. Los Angeles county has hired 5 new health inspectors to keep up with demand. Fortunately for us, Long Beach has it's own health department. That means we don't have to work with county officials.
