Christopher
Glunt is a Professional Piercer who started working in Houston Texas in
2001. The first shop he worked at was what most in the industry would
define as poor quality at best. In 2002 he attended the APP Conference
and everything has changed for the better since then.Since 2002 Chris
has attended over eighty hours of courses held by the Association of
Professional Piercers at the A.P.P conference.
Since becoming a Business
member in 2005, Chris has had the opportunity to pierce at several high
end piercing studios across the country using an extensive selection of
jewelry consisting of various qualities of materials, and styles. In
the process of traveling the country and piercing at different studios,
Chris has had the opportunity to discuss and learn various new
procedural techniques and information with some of the most progressive
piercers in the industry today.
While attending the advanced technique
seminars held by P.P.I.S, he was again privileged enough to be able to
exchange many ideas and theorize on many different aspect of Body
Modification as a whole, not just confining his learning experience to
strictly piercing. These courses eventually led Chris to be lucky enough
to be able to assist in an instructional manual on suspensions, which
since its release has sparked an enormous amount of interest in the
educational aspects of suspending, with large amounts of positive
feedback from his piercing peers across the country. Chris is currently
still in production on a series of DVDs based on procedural information
focused around freehand piercing, technique and safety information.
Throughout the production of these DVDs, Chris has had the amazing
chance and opportunity to be able to objectively analyze his piercing
methods and technique and being able to continue to learn and grow
further perfecting his piercing ability for safety, accuracy, speed, and
most importantly an impeccable bedside manner that's second to none.
When not at the studio chris is currently employed as a Certified
Surgical Technologist assisting in surgical procedures, maintaining a
sterile field and reprocessing surgical instruments.
